Edo State lies roughly between longitudes 05° 04’E and latitudes 05°44’N and 07°34’N.

It ¡s bounded on the west by Ondo State, on the south by Delta State, on the east by Kogi and Anambra States and on the North by Kogi State.

It has an area of about 19,794 square kilometres.
