The electronic media in Edo state consist of two radio stations Edo Broadcasting Service {EBS Radio} and the Independent Radio both based in Benin City, with state reach. In addition; three television stations viz: Nigeria Television Authority {NTA Benin}, Edo Broadcasting service {EBSTV Benin} and Independent Television {ITV} are in the state.
Their service radiate to adjoining states.
In addition to the nationally circulated newspapers and magazines, Edo state has a vibrant press with the state-owned Nigerian Observer as the flagship. The Observer newspaper has three titles namely: The Nigeria Observer, which is a daily publication, the weekend Observer {Saturday}, and the Sunday Observer. The Observer titles have a national spread in addition to its focus of informing, educating, and entertaining the people of Edo state.
Other publications published in Edo state are Oredo News {Published by Oredo local Government Council}, Etsako News Afenmai Magazine, Weekend Mirror, Afenmai voice, Esan Now People Digest, Edo/Delta News and grand stand Sports, which is a top-flight weekly wholly dedicated to sports reporting
