The state is well connected by a wide network of motor able all season roads with other parts of the country and within the state. Some sections of the roads are bad especial during the raining season due to erosion. The government –operated and privately owned small mini buses run most inter-cities and local routes faster and sever. Buses, taxis, and commercial motorcycles popularly called “Okada” are regulars on the road of Benin metropolis and other major towns and villages in the state. Their fare is very cheap. There are also car rental services .Benin City has an airport that is very close to the city centre .A host of airlines connects the city with other Nigeria major Cities.
